Tui Na
Developed by the Chinese over 5000 years ago, Tui Na is a massage thought to have influenced the creation of the Japanese treatment known as Shiatsu. Tui Na massage incorporates a range of deep massage techniques along with acupressure to give an all round treatment.
Do I need to undress for a treatment?
No. The massage is carried out through clothing.
What are the main benefits to Tui Na?
It is designed to ease muscle tension and is also useful in alleviating the symptoms of back & neck pain, Asthma, Headaches, and Irritable Bowel Syndrome.
How does Tui Na work?
It stimulates the body’s Chi and after a session you will feel invigorated, with a more positive sense of emotional well being.
How often will I need a treatment?
For chronic persistent pain you will need to have several sessions close together e.g. once a week for four weeks. The initial consultation is one hour and includes a series of muscle tests to work out if there are any imbalances in the skeletal system. The follow up sessions are 30mins each.
