Quality rather than quantity is important to us. Therefore all our courses are focussed on you and achieving the best you can. The maximum places on any one course will be 6 students on practical courses and 10 students on our theory based courses. We provide a vegetarian lunch and refreshments on all courses.
Our training ranges from beginners workshops to Professional Development Courses. All our tutors have a number of years expertise in their field, and are led by a qualified tutor Dawn Hart who is an experienced trainer and member of the Association of Therapy Lecturers. Training takes place in the relaxed and comfortable atmosphere of our Complementary Health Clinic.

Introduction to Reiki

Do you want to learn Reiki? This introductory day gives you a taster of what Reiki is all about without committing to the training course. Dip your toe in the water and we will teach you the history of Reiki and its Buddhist origins, the 5 precepts and their meditations, and you will also receive a 30-minute Reiki treatment from one of our experienced Reiki Practitioners. By the end of this introductory day you will know if Reiki is the path for you. There will also be the opportunity to register for the next Level 1 training course at a reduced price. This course is led by Dawn Hart, a Reiki Master Teacher Member of the UK Reiki Federation.

First Aid in the Workplace

If you are an employer, or a qualified and practising therapist, it is essential to know how to deal with a first aid situation. This recognised one-day course in First Aid will teach you how to give mouth to mouth resuscitation, how to put someone in the recovery position, show you the essentials of your first aid kit and how to apply a bandage to a wound. Complementary Therapy & Cancer Care
Price £180.00. 2 Day course. 10% discount for AOR, FHT and CTA members. Qualifies for 10 CPD points.
Learn how to safely and effectively work with clients who are undergoing cancer treatment. We will look at the nature of cancer, conventional treatments, adapting aromatherapy massage, safe use of oils and blends to use. We will also look at how to adapt Reiki and Reflexology treatments, and look at the National Guidelines for the use of Complementary Therapies in Hospices. In addition we will discuss the listening skills required in a therapeutic relationship in this environment.
Your lead tutor for this course will be Dawn Hart, a former co-ordinator of Complementary Therapy at St Giles Hospice. Dawn will use her experience of working with clients who have cancer to guide you through the treatment process in a way that will help you to gain confidence in this area. Acupressure & Reflexology

This one-day course is designed for qualified Reflexologist’s and will guide you through techniques that combine acupressure to the leg and feet, along with Reflex points. We will look at the meridians of the body and in particular the meridian paths in the legs and will combine several techniques to treat every day complaints such as headaches and migraines, along with diseases such as high blood pressure, and asthma.
