About Dawn

Dawn qualified as a Reflexologist in 2001, she has since followed this up with advanced studies in Reflexology and is a professional member of the Association of Reflexologists. She also has experience with Gentle Touch Reflexology and Reflexology in pregnancy and cancer care. Dawn went on to study and practice a range of therapies including various massage therapies. She is also a Reiki Master Teacher in the Usui system of natural healing and teaches Reiki very much in a traditional style drawing on it's Buddhist origins.

Dawn has worked in private practice for several years and has also worked in a clinical environment as a complementary therapy co-ordinator for a regional hospice. Although already trained in massage for cancer care, this experience expanded her knowledge of working with patients with cancer, multiple sclerosis and motor neurone disease.

Through Dawn's experience of working with complementary therapies she has come to realise how closely linked physical disease is with the mind. This has led her to study Buddhist Psychotherapy which she sees as an integral part of treating the person as a whole.

Dawn treats every client as an individual and tailors every treatment to their needs. This might include a combination of therapies, for example Reiki and Aromatherapy for pain management.

Dawn's Memberships:
The Association of Reflexologists; The International Council of Holistic Therapists; Association of Therapy Lecturers; UK Reiki Federation; BABTAC; The Complementary Therapists' Association (registered teacher); British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (student member).
